Meet our Team:

Hi, I am Loretta Barlow. I was born in Bellflower California and moved to San Diego in 1968. I have been a Treatment Coordinator in Dr. Black’s office since 1993. It is my responsibility to make sure everybody is well informed about their treatment and handle all their questions, concerns, and needs within the practice. What I enjoy most about my job is building long term relationships with patients and their family, and getting to know them as people, not just as patients. I love to see their beautiful smiles and share in their excitement on their “Brace Freedom Day” – the day we take off their braces. I am married and have two amazing children, and in my spare time I like to coach baseball, play competitive tennis, softball, ski, cycle, exercise and cook.

I was born and raised in Colorado and moved to San Diego in 1972. I am a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and I have been working with Dr. Black since September of 2000.

I am responsible for making everything in the clinic run smoothly and to be sure all of our patients are treated on time. What I enjoy most about my job is making great smiles, and interacting with all the patients and family’s that we have the privilege to treat. I especially enjoy working with all the great staff at Dr. Black’s and learning new procedures and techniques that we can deliver to our patients. I am married and have one daughter. In my spare time, I like to go camping, boating, swimming, and spending time gardening.

I am Bianca. I was born in Passau Germany and came to the US when I was 9 years old. I lived in Pennsylvania my whole life before moving to California in 1981. My position in Dr. Black’s office is Financial Coordinator. It is my responsibility to set up all financial contracts and manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable.

What I most enjoy about my job is working with Dr. Black’s staff and meeting new patients. I also like the personal attention that is given to each patient. This is what separates our office from other orthodontic practices. I am married and have one child, and in my spare time I like to read, power walk, and tend to my flower garden.

Hi, I am Kristina. I was born in La Jolla California and have lived my whole life in San Diego. I have been an administrative assistant in Dr. Black’s office since 2001. It is my responsibility to help out wherever I am needed. I also assist the Financial Coordinator with account management. What I most enjoy about my job is being part of a very friendly and positive team.

On my spare time, and when I am not working I like to spend time with my boyfriend. I love going to the beach, listening to music, and studying English Literature. Presently I am attending college and majoring in liberal studies to fulfill my goal of being an elementary school teacher.
